At McDavid Charities, we support the children and spouses of law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty. These families are often left to face unimaginable loss—and overwhelming financial and emotional challenges. Our mission is to step in and stand beside them with compassion, consistency, and long-term support.
Why We Exist
In 2016, the tragic loss of five officers in Dallas marked a turning point for us. It became clear that while the public honors fallen officers, the support for their surviving families is often short-lived. Unlike other causes, law enforcement families receive very little sustained charitable assistance. We set out to change that.

Who We Help
We serve the families of fallen law enforcement officers across the United States—specifically their children and spouses. Whether they need educational support, counseling, or a sense of
community, our programs are designed to meet them where they are and walk with them as long as needed.
How We Help
Our approach is hands-on, personal, and long-term. Through three core pillars—scholarships, counseling, and community programs—we help families regain stability, plan for the future, and feel supported in their grief.
